Purple Frail

Thane's first rock band was Purple Frail, in the late psychedelic '60's.

Thane, a gay black lead singer, and 3 white Catholic guys.

What a winning combination. They played a lot of Catholic school dances & did pretty well in all the local "battle of the bands" contests.
